Marc Terdik
Private Wealth Advisor Managing Principal of Piedmont Private Wealth
With over 25 years of experience, Marc is passionate about helping others with financial services. Starting in the Nations Funds product development group, he gained extensive knowledge of the actively managed mutual fund and the institutionally managed account space.
It was a perfect segue into a Portfolio Analyst role and later a Senior Portfolio Manager role at US Trust, where his responsibilities included discretionary portfolio management, building and developing asset management portfolios for large, complex families with unique needs, including liquidity, tax planning, charitable objectives, and wealth transfer.
Marc left US Trust to form a partnership at UBS, where he worked with clients to design and implement asset allocation strategies and financial plans that met their unique circumstances, risk tolerance, goals and objectives. He also gained extensive experience directly managing $300mm+ in non-State specific, investment-grade Municipal Bonds across multiple sectors.
In 2017, Marc began to build a boutique private wealth management practice. Given his extensive planning experience, Marc is acutely aware of the risks of investing without purpose. One of his top priorities is to help clients build an investment strategy to achieve specific, targeted goals.
Marc earned his bachelor of science in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his master’s in business administration from the University of South Carolina. He holds series 7 & 66 securities licenses.
Marc is active in the community with local and regional charities: Habitat for Humanity, Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, and the American Red Cross. He resides in Raleigh, NC, with his wife, Kristin, and two daughters. He enjoys family time, youth sports, and a round of golf.
